Current and Aspiring Parents and Families
BHGHNY considers its current parents and families as an integral feature of its over-all network of support and services.
Scholars arrive at our doorstep with a personal history. It is imperative that the adults in their lives communicate with one another and find ways to ensure that every child and young adult who we serve is accepted fully into the community we strive to achieve. While parents and family members are expected to meet with BHGHNY counselors and advisors, they are also encouraged to join their children in special projects and activities. These are planned throughout the year and include special dinners, open-houses, gardening and other initiatives that combine and reflect the interests and resources that parents and families can often offer the program
To its aspiring parents and families, BHGHNY encourages you to explore further the wonderful opportunities that are offered to its scholars. Veteran parents will be here to welcome you and to help you through the adjustment that every family makes when their child has the good fortune of joining our community. We hope that you will visit with us often to learn more about some of the exciting things that we have planned for the 2011/2012 academic year.
