Scholar of the Month Award


The “Scholar of the Month” award is presented every month to the scholar who exhibits diligence and determination to his or her studies.  The “Scholar of the Month” can be a scholar who has the highest grade for a quarter/semester, who has improved the most in one or more classes, or who has remained in high academic standing despite having a busy schedule.  The “Scholar of the Month” understands that “education is not merely preparation for life; education is life itself.”

Person For Others Award

 

The “Person for Others” award is presented every month to the scholar who exhibits leadership, compassion, and a strong work effort.  The “Person for Others” can be a scholar who helps tutor other scholars, is always eager to help staff and fellow scholars with chores, works diligently during service projects, and has a good rapport with and encourages fellow scholars.  The “Person for Others” understands that “serving others should be esteemed more highly than serving self.”
