Boys Hope Girls Hope of Southern California is a unique--and uniquely successful--program that helps good kids in bad situations. A lot of factors can threaten a child's future success and happiness--a family struggling with divorce, the death of a parent, or financial hardship; neighborhoods blighted by poverty and crime; overcrowded and underperforming schools.  Our approach to helping children-in-need is holistic in scope. We recognize that children are complex beings with a world of needs--and we meet every one of those needs.  Our family-style, non-institutional homes recreate the family dynamic that all children need to feel safe and secure. We provide food, clothing, medical care, psychological counseling if needed, and we place our children in top-rated area schools. We provide mentors and tutors who work one on one with the children in our care, and we provide academic, financial, and psychological support through the successful completion of that child's college education. Just as importantly, we teach our scholars the universal value of living a life of service to others. It's not enough for Boys Hope Girls Hope that our children become personally successful. Our alumni then go on to help others overcome the same obstacles that once threatened them Boys Hope Girls Hope alumni have attended some of the finest colleges and universities in the country. They are serving their communities as attorneys, healthcare professionals, research scientists, and entrepreneurs. They are making hope happen for countless others.
